Dearest Mama,
I am experiencing something like never before, and I say this a few hours until my birthday. You always told me that I was born looking purple ... That must have been a crazy ride for both of us!
Since you are in the hospital, where none of us can visit with you, touch you, talk to you and listen to you, I have a surreal feeling. The first two days were mostly of fear for your health. But the good news began to come, when the doctors, blessed be they, could find the time to call us on the phone, and they did.
Then came the hours of Shabbat, and the weekend, when we knew they wouldn't call us, but you would be looked after and maybe, a little bit, you could rest your eyes from the whirlwind of all those white overalls around you.
But time seems to me as deaf, and I try to picture how you are ... how are you, how are you?
The doctors who are taking care of you think that you might even be discharged this week!
Meanwhile us weaving bees continue to prepare for this happy perspective. With Ariel's precious help I have prepared an English version of the questions to ask Stellina to be sure (as far as possible) of her willingness to devote herself to you as soon as you return home according to the rules suggested by the doctors. It was touching to talk to Stellina, who can't wait for you to be back in your Portile home with her and E.
Yesterday we confirmed to your doctors that Stellina is out of quarantine, and B'H continuing to be fine. And now?
Now, Mama, I want to see you, no matter if at a distance, I would like to hear your voice and, like 56 years ago, make you feel my gratitude for bringing me to life.
I am waiting for you, Mama.
