May/June 2021

I had a feeling of unspeakable and useless exhaustion.

I tried everything, I could feel my soul dying and my survival at stake if I ignored it.

The transition from the escape for freedom on Pesach to the celebration of responsibility on Shavuot had inspired me to clear the air, and so I offered what I had written about myself, five pieces of my life for each week of the Omer, reaching out to my family to get to know each other again, at last to respect each other.

I hoped for a dialogue, and I waited, and my body ached.

As the crystal clear, shallow water shows the depths of the sea, just a few rocks and a lot of unstable sand, I felt I was no longer able to carry on the charade of trying to meet everyone's needs.
