Atarah style Tallit

We can also call it Atarah, this model of tallit that LiOr Designs has created entirely according to the requirements and measurements of the final recipient, who favours practicality while moving to a warm climate.

LiOr tailored this tallit out of an ivory-coloured, pure Italian silk, in the size of a narrow shawl, fitted around neck and shoulders, without the usual draping of tallitot. (*)

With a sheer pale gold pure silk georgette LiOr then made the actual atarah, upon which she embroidered the Hebrew words of the prophet Micah 6:8 You have been told, O mortal, what is good, And what God requires of you: Only to do justice And to love goodness, And to walk humbly with your God .

For the embroidery, the applications and the decorative top-stitching, LiOr chose a silver metallic thread.

The pure white cotton fringes running from the two short sides of the tallit are hand-woven into a double net design.

As requested by the client, LiOr tied the tzitzit, made of kosher pure sheep's wool according to the Ashkenazi tradition, with 7,8,11 and 13 chulyot.
